IACCM is delighted to announce its 2011 Academic Forum for Innovative Research & Practice, which will be held in conjunction with the IACCM Global Forum for Contracting & Commercial Excellence in Arizona, USA in October 2011.

This exciting event provides an opportunity for researchers and academics to present papers on contract, commercial and relationship management topics to their peers and also to senior practitioners from leading international corporations. Academic attendees will also be welcomed as participants in the ensuing practitioner conference.

THE DEADLINE FOR THE SUBMISSION OF PAPERS IS 1st AUGUST 2011

Paper Submission Guidelines

  1. The work should respresent new/original ideas

  2. Your theory and methodology should be described

  3. Scope and delimitation should be explained

  4. Thesis/Hypothesis should be substantiated

  5. Papers should follow accepted styles of academic presentation (systematic, logic, paragraphs, language) etc.

  6. Papers should adhere to formal requirements (e.g. references to other works used), and a conclusion drawn/substantiated

The evaluation of authors' work will be based on 'recognized academic standards', although we recommend using your own judgement on this as we do not enforce strict standards. If a submitted paper does not following any standards (e.g. not systematic at all, no references, no clear hypothesis/conclusion etc.), the submission will be rejected and the author will be informed about the reasons for this.

General Submission Guidelines

  1. All papers must be received by 12:00 pm CET on August 1st 2011 to be considered

  2. Papers must be submitted by e-mail to rfh@asb.dk

  3. Each submission received in right time will be acknowledged by e-mail; if acknowledgement is not received within seven days, please contact strybush@iaccm.com

  4. Papers must have been written within the past 1 year and must incorporate the newest developments, e.g. in law and theory, in the covered subject area if required

  5. Papers must not have been published elsewhere, in whole or in part

  6. Papers must be submitted in Microsoft Word format

  7. Papers should be no longer than 5,000 words, exclusive of endnotes and references

  8. Submissions must include author information, including authors' names, affiliations, and contact information (mailing address, phone number, and e-mail address)

  9. All papers will be subject to rigorous double-blind peer review. The papers must be amended according to the referee comments. The review committee will be composed of academics from higher ranked universities and business schools as well as highly qualified contract and commitment management professionals from private organizations and public agencies

  10. All authors of accepted papers are given the possibility for presentation at the Academic Conference. All travel cost, accommodation costs etc. are on the part of the author

  11. Papers not accepted for publication in the conference book may be presented as a Working Paper at a special track at the conference, subject to approval by the review committee and the author

  12. Authors will be notified of acceptance by 19 August 2011 latest

  13. Final manuscripts for printing must be received by 23 September 2011 latest

  14. Authors will be required to complete and sign a publication copyright agreement

  15. There will be an award for 'IACCM Academic Conference Best Paper 2011'

  16. All accepted papers will be published in an ISSN e-book published prior to the IACCM conference

  17. All authors of accepted papers must agree that a shorter abstract of their paper will be published in IACCM's journal 'Contracting Excellence'.
