Join us at the next IACCM Professional Development and Networking Meeting in Wellington.
The meeting is open to IACCM members and non-members alike and is free to attend.
Date: Thursday, 15 March, 2018
Time: 2:30 for 3:00 start - 5:00pm followed by informal networking
Our focus for this event will follow the IACCM theme for 2018: Collaborating Across Boundaries
Trading relationships often involve multiple parties whose support and alignment is critical to success. Achieving that support and alignment depends on empathy - an understanding and appreciation of their point of view (whether or not we agree with it). And in the rapidly changing world of digitization, automation, and diversity, relationships are being forced into new approaches to collaborating across boundaries.
For several years, IACCM research has pointed to the scale of value erosion that comes from weaknesses in the way we form and manage contracts. While a few organizations have picked up on this and driven significant improvements, most have not.
Suddenly, the reticence is disappearing; there is a real belief that a focus on 'relationship resource planning' can yield the next big wave of savings - and that the IACCM community, with its 'collaboration across boundaries', will be at the heart of the movement that drives these benefits.
During this meeting we will explore the way commercial teams are collaborating, and we want you to bring your stories, examples, insights and question to share with others.
For the first New Zealand meeting in 2018, we are delighted to have IACCM Association President Tim Cummins with us. Tim has been leading a multi-national jurisdictional benchmarking study in procurement and contracting at federal government levels and comparing with the findings from leaders in the private sector..
We are also delighted to have Mark Richards, Director Capability Services, Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE) join Tim, as MBIE was a partner with IACCM in this study.
Tim and Mark will be sharing some insights from that study. Following the official agenda, we invite you to participate in networking with Tim, Mark, Bernie Diver, one of our IACCM Advisory Board Members, and each other.
And be sure to bring your colleagues along, and invite any others who may be non-members now, but should be with us.
Would your strategic partners benefit from this meeting?
Note that anyone holding an IACCM Certification will earn CPD Points by attending this event.
