In this conversation, Andy and Paul will share examples of real-life situations from their personal experience where good Commercial Contract Management has enabled better business results, and how that was done. These examples will cover a wide range of experiences from deal negotiations and managing contracts post-award. Distinctions will be drawn between average business performance and the skills, attributes and strategies used to achieve exceptional results.

He has outstanding strategy, leadership and business change skills, evidenced by significant corporate turnarounds through utilising problem-solving abilities, empowering people and setting ambitious, realistic strategies that positively reshape the bottom and top line. Andy has an in-depth awareness of business eco-systems and intellectual agility which enables him to change the rules and reverse business inertia.
Andy is one of the original founder members and a Fellow of IACCM. Having worked as both a Commercial Director and CEO he has a unique insight into how a well-run Commercial function adds value to any organisation.
Paul Mallory, Director, Soul Work Limited.
Paul is a highly experienced trainer, coach and speaker. A past VP of Professional Development for IACCM, he joined the Association in 2008. He designs, develops and delivers online and classroom training in Commercial Contract Management and Supplier Relationship Management, enabling contract and commercial people to attain higher levels of professionalism. Paul has been IACCM’s Chief Examiner and is a Fellow.
Paul spent 30 years in Commercial Management in telecommunications, software and defence electronics industries, culminating in a deal-making role as Commercial Director, New Business for a major IT outsourcer. He was educated in Business Studies and Management Studies.
