Can anyone provide tips on managing stress and building resilience during long drawn negotiations with stronger parties that are bigger than my organisation?
As a firm who provide intangible services and works in fast pace environment, we have categorized our contracts into two types, ordinary and complex. We designed a standard terms and clauses for ordinary contracts because they are services require basic materials, and low risk, and standard requirements. A service has more than 6 tasks is considered as a complex contract which requires more attention in the review stage. Doing this technique have reduced cost, process, and time spent on contract review stage.

Adjusting your goals doesn't just require a shift in strategy-it also requires a shift in mindset. You can't expect to set realistic, relevant, and meaningful goals if you're not in the right headspace. We recently chatted with Arianna Huffington-founder and CEO of Thrive Global, and the author of fifteen books, many of which are focused on mental health-about coping with difficult times. Arianna shared some of her research-backed tips for mindset shift that can help you adjust your goals during challenging times.
The bottom line? Deep down, we know business can be done better, and still be highly profitable. It's the dueling motivations of fear and love that trip us up.

I am currently working on the CCM certification and seeking to transition into the field for a career. Would anyone happen to know of any volunteer opportunities in the northeast U.S. area (PA/NJ/NY) to recommend getting my feet wet, so to speak?
Dear all, I am a new member of the community and I would like to ask for your help regarding available topics, postings and news on IACCM website related to Extraordinary contract management issues (contract amendment process, risks linked to this situation, how to avoid pittfalls when you're managing a contract during this phase...). Many thanks for your help, Valentina.
Dear all, do you have any good setups or mentor plans for a Junior Contract Manager. Any suggestions on what parts I should include?
Dear All, I have joined IACCM at the recommendation of my contracts mentor. I hope to gain useful and interesting information pertaining to contracts throughout my membership. I am currently undergoing a law degree whilst working full time in the Oil & Gas sector. My current role is Tender Project Coordination and I look forward to expanding my knowledge of this through IACCM. Regards, Karen
I'm interested in whether anyone has any guidance or experience that they would be willing to provide on employee Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or other measures/metrics for annual employee goals. I think the typical cost savings and cost avoidance are fine, but am interested in any creative thoughts specific to technology contracting and purchasing. Thanks in advance for your help!
I am currently studying for an MBA specialising in Project management. I am looking to do my dissertation in Contracting for Projects. Right now I seem to running out of ideas for research topics in this area. I would appreciate any help.
While training is useful in providing the theory it can only go so far. Providing the opportunity for mentees to have access to experienced mentors who have done the hard yards in managing contracts in a particular industry is invaluable. I am sure that many IACCM members would be interested in putting their hands up to participate in a mentoring program.
