As coronavirus disease (COVID-19) continues to impact the global community, I want to personally update you on IACCM's response to this crisis and how we will continue to support you and our many members around the world.
As a global Association, we are very familiar with working and delivering services virtually. This means we are well equipped to maintain the high-quality and relevance of information and output that you expect from IACCM. The IACCM team is here to support you, wherever you are, and welcomes your questions, your ideas and any stories you wish to share about how you, or your organization is affected by or reacting to this crisis.
It goes without saying that, in the current environment, we hold the health and safety of the IACCM community paramount. As such, and in line with the policies that many of our members have implemented, we have ourselves taken steps to support social distancing, including suspension of staff travel and non-essential physical member meetings. The IACCM team will leverage technology and conduct internal and external meetings virtually - so expect to hear plenty from us about these!
We have made the tough, but prudent decision to postpone our 2020 Europe and Asia Pacific Conferences. We will continue to monitor the situation closely in respect of all our proposed physical events across the globe.
This is an unprecedented time and the situation is changing daily. While coronavirus undoubtedly presents significant challenges for everyone, we believe it also reinforces the value that IACCM members gain from being part of a global and diverse community. We remain committed to maintaining our business operations and ensuring you continue to receive the highest quality service and highly relevant information to guide you through this uncertainty.
