Ask The Expert: Contract Law Update - Russia - Recording

Published: 08 Jul 2008 Average Rating: unrated Print

Join Max Gutbrod, Partner at Baker & McKenzie in Moscow, as he discusses key contracting issues for those doing business in Russia. During the call, we will explore the commercial realities of Russian law, the extent to which arbitration or mediation may offer alternatives and the way that critical terms and conditions are negotiated, managed and viewed by the courts. The discussion will include liabilities, indemnities, liquidated damages, intellectual property rights, confidentiality and competition issues. The purpose of the call is not to impart in depth legal knowledge, but to create commercial awareness and understanding of significant differences and potential pitfalls when contracting or negotiating in Russia. On the call with Max will be IACCM Executive Director Tim Cummins and fellow Baker & McKenzie partner Lothar Determann.
