ATE - Designing the future as a collaborative contract

In this interview, Dr. Tyrone S. Pitsis talks about the concept of design thinking as a collaborative tool for dealing with wicked problems. He  provides insights and advice on how design thinking can be thought of as being central to contracting. He then talks about the importance of relational contracting, and how such forms of concertive coordination are critical in dealing with major obstacles, particularly where innovation is key. Collaboration is, however, a Pandora's box and is fraught with challenges and tensions which complicates contracting - particularly when collaboration is between public, private and/or third sector organizations and there are clashes of values, systems and processes. Our Expert:\r
